On behalf of a leading building materials supplier, we are seeking a driven and proactive Business Development Manager to manage one of the most active construction corridors in Australia. This territory boasts a strong pipeline of major infrastructure and civil works

In this role, you will need to be equally comfortable on-site speaking with Project Supervisors as you are in the boardroom presenting to Tier 1 contractors or council procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Build, track, and actively manage a robust sales pipeline across new and existing civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify market opportunities early, position the business against project specifications, and win new contracts.
  • Account Management: Nurture an established account base to increase product share and volume.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships across the full spectrum, from site-level project teams to senior executives and government procurement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, technical, and logistics teams to ensure reliable delivery on customer commitments.
  • CRM & Strategy: Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, monitor competitor activity, and prepare/close commercial proposals.

Candidate Profile

  • Industry Background: 5+ years in B2B field sales, specifically dealing with heavy construction materials, aggregates, or the quarrying sector.
  • Commercial Acumen: A proven track record of mapping upcoming infrastructure pipelines and hunting new contracts, moving past purely reactive account management.
  • Product Fluency: Solid technical knowledge of road base, civil construction applications, and aggregate specifications.
  • Dual-Level Communication: Adept at building quick rapport on-site with project supervisors while remaining equally polished when pitching to corporate procurement teams or Tier 1 contractors.
  • CRM Discipline: Experienced in leveraging CRM data (preferably Salesforce) to forecast demand and track territory growth.
  • Logistics: Valid driver's license and the flexibility to cover the Gold Coast and Northern NSW footprint, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Culture Fit: An uncompromising attitude toward workplace safety and environmental standards.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Highly competitive base salary paired with performance bonuses.
  • Comprehensive motor vehicle allowance.
  • Full autonomy to manage and scale a high-volume, booming regional market.
  • Genuine career advancement opportunities within a well-regarded, national industry leader.
